About Us
In November 2023 Thames Music & Drama celebrated 60 years of musical theatre in Thames. In that time the organisation has morphed several times. Originally incorporated in 1963 as Thames Operatic Society we later became Thames Musical Theatre and then in 2012 after we combined with Thames Little Theatre we renamed ourselves Thames Music And Drama (MAD for short).
We produce, host and facilitate live entertainment for the enjoyment of everyone. Our aim is to provide a safe place where anyone can explore, learn and play. We are a 'family' of talented people that love to spend time together developing our skills and sharing our love of theatre with others. We hope that you will want to join our family too one day - on stage, back stage, or in the audience. There is a role for all. Come play with us.
